Hi Del,
How do I defeat the shadow god when he keeps on using the last end?? spell.
I had fought him for quite awhile and killed Illyana but then he pulled this rotten spell which kills you straight away.
What are the best tactics.
I am using Violet and Demetrius and am about level 80.

Well, personally I like to focus the attack on a single enemy, first you should defeat the right hand, which heals the party, after that the right hand and then Illyana and finally the Shadow God, my favorite party is Galahar, Demetrius and Violet, Galahar use Sword of Honor, Demetruis Exorcism and heals when neccessary and Violet uses Omega. If you still can't defeat it, just level up a bit.

Thank you for your compliments, I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Another game will be released soon, a spin-off Dark Souls 2, which happens 3 years after it, it will feature Kara as the protagonist, keep an eye on the community, it will be available soon. There a few topics in the chat section that I'd like your help with, regarding favorite characters and such, it will help me with my future games! :D

My strategy is as follows:

Characters: Galahar, Violet (a must have!), Demetrius
Levels: early 70ish.
Equipment: best. You can unequip these Ultimate Charms, unlike DSI's Solifugid, DSII's Shadow God rarely uses any abnormality spells on the party. Boost up Violet and Demetrius' INT as these will be really handy.
Inventory: Rare herbs for HP/MP replenishing, Miracle herbs for resurrecting, Restoration herbs (50%HP to all) to aid or replace Demetrius when needed. (to the full)

Strategy is as follows: you have to properly protect yourself at all times: Demetrius MUST cast Angel's Tears EVERY TURN, so when you see that he's down to 100 MP, Galahar must throw a Rare herb to him. If anyone dies (hasn't happened on my end during the first two phases), bring back using the miracle herb. If it is Demetrius who dies... have Vi throw a Miracle herb followed by Galahar throwing a Restoration herb (Vi is faster so Demetrius will first be resurrected and then healed to full along with the others).

Attack strategy:

Phase 1: Galahar must throw items to supplement Demetrius's healing rate. Demetrius must use a God's Touch on Violet, if unable, then Violet must Meditate herself before casting any attacks. Now forget, I say FORGET my Solifugid strategy when you were able to Ragnarok the bastard to kingdom come - at his healing rate, Ragnarok will at best KEEP his health at a given point instead of trimming it down. Also forget Diminish, Shadow God is resistant to it. No, Omega is the key. Omega ONLY. almost 5000 HP per hit, way over 7000 when Meditated/GodTouched. Have Violet throw Omega.

First attack target is of course the Right Hand - after you take it down, you won't have to worry about the boss' healing rate.
Second target is Left Hand - it's attack can take off 2000 HP off of an unprepared character.
Third attack target is of course Illyana. Will go relatively fast.

Phase 2: Attack the Shadow God directly. Omega followed by Galahar's Sword of Honor will make Shadow God lose HP at a really good rate, especially when both characters are inflicted by God's Touch.

Phase 3; Shadow God will drop the Omega-Ragnarok attack in favor of Last Breath, an instant kill/always-hit spell. When a character is hit by that, just bring him back with a Miracle herb or Demetrius' weakest resurrection spell. Forget healing, won't be necessary. Just keep all chars ALIVE and make one character attack with his best hit, and the other resurrect the dead one. When Demetrius is dropped, I suggest Violet cast omega and Galahar throw the herb as Violet IS stronger... Even if one of the chars ends up KOed when Shadow God dies, who cares? Nothing more awaits you except the ending sequence.
